Nesting on Main

As many of you may know, I used to live in New England.

One of my favourite places to visit was Concord, Massachusetts which was only a short drive from where I lived through beautiful countryside and past gorgeous colonial houses.  Concord is steeped in history (I won't bore you with any here) and is a haven for people like me who love independent boutiques, gift shops, galleries and restaurants.

Hidden away off Main Street is an absolute treasure - Nesting on Main.  'Nesting' as it is called by those in the know, is owned by three women, one of whom, Wendi Snider has become a good friend of mine over the years and is a loyal patron to Claryce Design.

Nesting is brimming over with vintage and antique items sourced by these amazing women who, like Magpies have a keen eye for treasure :)  Although I visited the shop often it never looked the same from one visit to the next.

Everywhere you look are beautifully arranged vignettes.

Including handcrafted items and 'finds' such as birds eggs and feathers.

Wendi was the first retailer to sell my gift tags and also scrabble tile pendants which I used to make by the dozen.  Here is a glittering nest with a few examples of my scrabble tile pendants in it.

I am attaching a link to a news feature that was done on the shop a few years ago, so you can feel like you are taking a browse yourself.  Enjoy!

Featured!

It has been an exciting couple of months with my first features in the press :)

In September's issue of Country Homes and Interiors I was featured on the editor's page with a lovely photograph of one of my Vintage Roses postcards with a sweet note from the editor and a link to my website www.clarycedesign.co.uk.  I have had increased traffic to my website since this feature so it was lucrative as well as flattering :)

Apparently my vintage wedding stationery is also being featured in Perfect Wedding next month (on newstands now presumably).  I have yet to pick up my copy but received this image of the feature.  It seems that my Magnolia save the date tags are a great budget buy for brides.  Maybe it's time to put my prices up ;)

Finally I am supposedly being featured in Country Homes and Interiors again in November with a mention of my Blue Tit gift cards.  As soon as I have a hard copy of this I shall post come pictures :)

New Wedding Stationery Designs

My vintage wedding stationery has proved a huge success over the past year.....

I cannot believe it is nearly a year since I last posted on my blog! It goes to show what a busy year it has been. This time last year I had just started making wedding stationery and this has quickly become the biggest part of my business.

My most popular invitations are these, which consist of a multi layered invitation slipped inside a decorative pocket with one of my unique designs printed on it. I have five designs available as standard, but can create the same look with a custom design of your choice.

I am still making save the date notifications from my gift tags, which are as popular as ever. These have also been used as RSVP's or as table decorations.

I have other wedding stationery designs available including flat postcards, folded invitations and oversized tags used as invitations. I will be posting details of these over the coming days/weeks, so please drop by again :)
